Get Ready For Your Shoot
I’m so excited to photograph this milestone. This guide will help you feel prepared and confident to capture your authentic self on the day of your session.
What To Expect
Senior sessions are laid back, fun, and personalized to reflect your unique personality. We’ll collaborate to make sure you look and feel your best.
You can expect light posing guidance to help you feel natural and relaxed, opportunities to bring your interests and hobbies into the session, all in a mix of candid and portrait style images.
How To Prep
-
Bring 2-4 outfit options. Think variety:
One dressy or formal look (think yearbook worthy!)
One casual, everyday style
One fun/personal look (sport jersey, creative outfit, etc.)
Bonus: something seasonal with a bold color you love
Tips:
Iron or steam clothes beforehand
Avoid large logos and distracting patterns
Wear things that feel like YOU
Try on outfits ahead of time and take some test shots with your phone
-
Haircuts should be done at least a week prior. Remember to groom facial hair as well
Natural makeup works best, but feel free to glam it up if that’s your style
Nails show in close-ups, so clean or polish them!
If you wear glasses, please go without or wear contacts to avoid a glare in your photos
-
Touch-up kit (hairbrush, makeup, chapstick)
Any props (sports gear, musical instruments, letterman jacket)
A parent, best friend, or sibling if you’d like support or behind-the-scenes help! If you’d like them to join for a few photos, also keep in mind their clothing and grooming.
Personal cameras should be left at home. Your job is to relax and enjoy the professional session!
Locations and Light
We’ll choose a location that suits your vibe—lake views, wildflower fields, downtown alleyways, or classic open light. Please give some thought to a location in which you feel connected. I shoot in natural light, which means late afternoon or early evening for that soft, golden glow.
